Care Instructions

To help maintain your wool topper:

• Use a mattress protector to keep it clean.
• Spot clean only when necessary using mild soap and water.
• Allow the topper to air out periodically in fresh air and indirect sunlight.
• Ensure the topper is completely dry after any spot cleaning.
• Do not machine wash or fully immerse in water.
• Do not place in a dryer.
• Professional dry cleaning is recommended only when absolutely necessary.

Because wool is a natural fiber, slight variations in loft, weight, and appearance are normal and part of the unique character of each handcrafted topper.

We also now offer a more supple double knit outer which retains more of the plush feel of the topper. 

Compare to other companies by weight and you will see ours is the best price even though we also use a premium organic cotton outer instead of the weaker sateen other companies use to save them money.  

These toppers provide a lot of breathability due to the pure completely untreated wool. We have been making these in San Diego for 25 years, and our customers love them. 5 year warranty on materials and workmanship. However these can last for over 30 years if treated properly. We like to flip ours every few months to keep the wool loose.

Spot Clean only. Or hang and thoroughly hose off outer if needed.

Premium Eco Wool Batting (Domestic) is another option that is more springy

Our trademarked Premium Eco Wool Batting is made with locally sourced, family-run farms. This blend is made with primarily Corriedale, Suffolk, Dorset, Cheviot, Romney, Morrit, Coopworth, and Columbia sheep - ensuring an ideal amount of course and fine long fibers. Proven by bed and furniture designers, this blend maintains a nice loft longer than poly filler or other non-natural products. We begin with exceptional low debris wool before proceeding to scouring with a mild, biodegradable soap. Finally, the scoured wool is carded or garnetted into batting.

Organic Wool Batting (GOTS Certified)

Our Organic Wool Batting is made with Dorset and Columbia sheep and sourced in New Zealand. This wool is scoured with organic agents. We find this wool to compress a bit more than the other options. 

Spot clean using 1 part natural cleaner or vinegar to 2 parts water. Hand tufted and made to order, it can take 4-6 days for this item to be made and ready to ship out. Made here at our San Diego, CA Facility.
